I just wanted to pass on a few traffic sources and a tip to help you out. Lets start with the tip: One of the most common questions I get asked is ‘How do I get more volume to my campaign?’. There are 3 key things I look at to answer this question: 1) Creatives – How many do you have? Generally, the more creatives, the more impressions. I would recommend 20-50 creatives for a new campaign of varying shapes and sizes. Don’t forget text ads (yes, even for smartphones! Sometimes they work the BEST!) and Ad Prompts! 2) Daily Budget – Please ensure that your daily budget for campaigns is AT LEAST $25! Please also ensure that your account balance is larger than the daily budgets for all of your campaigns combined. 3) Ad Delivery – In the setup of a campaign, there is an option to have your ad delivered ‘Evenly throughout the day’, or ‘As fast as possible’. For more traffic, always select the ‘As fast as possible’ choice. Once you have confirmed these three things, also take a look at our media planner to see if there is adequate volume for your choice of Geo/Platform/Carrier. The Media planner can be found here: https://ads.tapit.com/advertiser/media-planner ….And as always, don’t be afraid to ask me for some assistance on getting more traffic. The best way to get a hold of me is email and skype: mobile_marty Finally, the traffic report. Here are ...

The post Post Memorial Day Kickstarter! appeared first on TapIt!™.

I just wanted to pass on a few traffic sources and a tip to help you out. Lets start with the tip:

One of the most common questions I get asked is ‘How do I get more volume to my campaign?’. There are 3 key things I look at to answer this question:

1) Creatives – How many do you have? Generally, the more creatives, the more impressions. I would recommend 20-50 creatives for a new campaign of varying shapes and sizes. Don’t forget text ads (yes, even for smartphones! Sometimes they work the BEST!) and Ad Prompts!

Once you have confirmed these three things, also take a look at our media planner to see if there is adequate volume for your choice of Geo/Platform/Carrier. The Media planner can be found here:
https://ads.tapit.com/advertiser/media-planner

….And as always, don’t be afraid to ask me for some assistance on getting more traffic. The best way to get a hold of me is email and skype: mobile_marty

Finally, the traffic report. Here are ideas that I can see some good opportunities:

1) Android traffic: If you have android offers that are NOT carrier specific, try these countries out: Russia (7M daily impressions), Chile (2.3M), and Italy (2M). There are also over 1M daily impressions for android in Thailand, Tukey and Oman.

2) iOS Traffic: Again, non-carrier specific offers could get a LOT of traffic in Mexico (2M daily impressions), Germany (1.4M) and Chile (1.2M).

3) Feature Phone traffic: Here is an interesting category! In India, we have almost 6M daily impressions. And Brazil? Over 2M impressions!

Ok, I have written a novel. I hope this helps with your traffic needs! Please let me know how I can help you with your campaigns!

Split testing is crucial to the success of any marketing campaign but not enough advertisers can truly say they are doing it. So before you call it quits and label your offer a failure, think again! Split testing is a very effective way of weeding out the winners but it does take time, creativity and the right tools. It is important to split test so you can: - Increase CTR, conversions and engagement with your target audience - Attract the right customers - Maximize your advertising budget by lowering your CPA - Out do your competition and capture a larger market share So what exactly is split-testing? Split testing means testing out variations to see which performs better. In advertising, you can split test emails, landing pages and all types of ads but for this post, we’ll be focusing on mobile ads. Here are 7 key elements to split test… 1) Headline and copy – change your wording, add punctuation, pricing, talk about benefits over features, play with different fonts and colors, include a testimonial, ask a question. 2) Offer – try different discounts and bonuses, adjust pricing. 3) Image – swap out stock photos for amateur ones, test male vs. female, humor vs. serious, color vs. black & white. 4) Call-To-Action – tap here, social share, click-to-call. 5) Banner sizes – this varies from small (120 x 20 px) and have a 10 character text tag line all the way up to XX-Large (320 x 50 px) with a ...

The post How To Split Test Mobile Ads For Higher Conversions appeared first on TapIt!™.

Split testing is crucial to the success of any marketing campaign but not enough advertisers can truly say they are doing it. So before you call it quits and label your offer a failure, think again!
It is important to split test so you can:
- Increase CTR, conversions and engagement with your target audience
- Attract the right customers
- Maximize your advertising budget by lowering your CPA
- Out do your competition and capture a larger market share
So what exactly is split-testing?
Split testing means testing out variations to see which performs better. In advertising, you can split test emails, landing pages and all types of ads but for this post, we’ll be focusing on mobile ads.

Here are 7 key elements to split test…
1) Headline and copy – change your wording, add punctuation, pricing, talk about benefits over features, play with different fonts and colors, include a testimonial, ask a question.
2) Offer – try different discounts and bonuses, adjust pricing.
3) Image – swap out stock photos for amateur ones, test male vs. female, humor vs. serious, color vs. black & white.
4) Call-To-Action – tap here, social share, click-to-call.

5) Banner sizes – this varies from small (120 x 20 px) and have a 10 character text tag line all the way up to XX-Large (320 x 50 px) with a 24 character text tag line.
6) Android vs. iOS – not all smartphone users are created equal so it’s worth split testing different devices in order to capture the relevant audience. Hunch came up with this interesting infograph http://blog.hunch.com/?p=51781 of the “battle of the mobile operating systems”.
7) Carriers – same as OS, carrier subscribers have different characters and should be marketed to with their own relevant messaging.

How to measure:
High CTR also doesn’t always equal high conversion rates so don’t disregard a lower CTR too quickly but evaluate the entire output. I suggest evaluating CTR along with the conversion rate to find out eCPM (earnings for every thousand impressions) or EPC (earnings per click).
Keep a log or spreadsheet of all this information so you know which variables have been tested and what’s working or not.
Mobile tools such as WhatRunsWhere http://www.whatrunswhere.com can also help you quickly identify the top ads by advertiser or keyword so you can see which ads are performing the best. Get inspiration to use on your own creative and copy so you can intelligently test new ads.
Lastly, your efforts will be pointless if you don’t have accurate tracking. I recommend checking out iMobiTrax http://www.imobitrax.com/ or MobAff. http://mobafftracker.com/

The downside of split-testing is that data can be misinterpreted.
The conditions in which you are split-testing must be exact or very similar to avoid assumptions and misinterpretation. For example, ads should be tested at the same time, with a similar budget to the same target audience. Only change one variable at a time and rotate ads evenly. Make sure there are no other influencing factors that is enabling their performance. Split testing is an ongoing process that shouldn’t stop even if you think you’ve found the winning ad.

First off, I would like to bring attention to our support site: http://support.tapit.com/

I have over 3 years experience in mobile marketing from all different angles. I was a Mobile Affiliate Manager for one of the top Affiliate Networks, and a Ad Rep for an advertiser. Now, I am your Advertising Account Manager at TapIt.

I have put together a list of my most often asked questions. I hope they can help you get your campaigns running strong, fast, and profitable!

1) How Do I set up a campaign on TapIt?
http://support.tapit.com/entries/21290717-Creating-a-Campaign

2) Do you have Optimization Tokens, and how do I use them in my links?

3) How Can I find how many impressions are available in a certain geographical area? …Or per carrier? …Or by platform?
We have a tool available to you called the Media Planner. It allows you to find the available impressions available for you. All the information is given by ‘Daily Impressions’.
To find the Media Planner, just click on ‘Reports’, or click here:
https://ads.tapit.com/advertiser/media-planner

4) Can you help me optimize my campaign?
Yes! We have a tool for this as well. Please check out our Ad Optimizer, which is found at the bottom of the Campaign Information Box on your campaign, or click here:
https://ads.tapit.com/advertiser/ad-optimizer/

We also have a support document that will show you how to get the best information out of it:
http://support.tapit.com/entries/22626977-Ad-Optimizer

5) What are the average CPCs for countries?
This information is constantly changing. The rule of thumb is that there are a handful of countries that require bidding higher than the minimum bid, such as USA, Australia, United Kingdom, Argentina, etc. Please ask your rep what you should be bidding on these countries. Most of the other countries will get good volume at the .05 minimum bid.

6) How long does it take to see traffic to my campaign? Is there a delay with the reporting?
Once your campaign is approved, it generally takes 30-60 minutes to start getting impressions.
Our reporting platform has an hour delay from real time. If you are relying on it for reporting, then it will take 90-120 minutes to see clicks to a newly approved campaign?

7) Should I use my own tracking platform?
That is a personal preference. I always recommend it, as it is real-time, and you can pivot the data however you choose.

8) How long does it take to get my campaign approved?
We are generally approving campaigns a number of times a day. If you would like the approval process to be expedited, please email me (martyb@phunware.com) or ask me on Skype (mobile_marty) and I can take a look at it.

9) How can I increase the traffic to my campaign?
There are a number of ways to increase your traffic, including:
a) Increasing your bid price
b) Add more creatives, both in the same size as before and new sizes
c) Add text creative
d) Add AdPrompts
e) bid on additional channels

10) What should I have for a daily budget?
I always recommend having a minimum daily budget of $25. This will allow for best distribution of your ads, and will help with question #9.

11) How do I set up conversion tracking?
Conversion tracking is always recommended, as it will allow you to use the Ad Optimizer to help grow your campaign.
Here is how to setup conversion tracking:
http://support.tapit.com/entries/21592323-Standard-Conversion-Tracking

12) I have deposited money into my account, and I cannot see it? Where is it?
If you are depositing money from Paypal for the first time to your account, there may be an hour delay. If you still cannot see the money in your account a few hours after your deposit, please email me (martyb@phunware.com) and I will confirm the deposit.

13) What offers are working?
I have seen all types of offers work with our traffic. Honestly, any campaign that is tested, data is found, and optimized on can work, you just have to optimize accordingly. Again, use our AdOptimizer to help you with this. This is VERY IMPORTANT: do not be afraid to spend $50-$100 to get enough information to get an offer to work.
For more information on what offers are working, I recommend asking your affiliate network’s AM what is getting good results on their end.

14) CPC or CPM?
I recommend starting with CPC to collect data, but once you have optimized, and a campaign is doing well, CPM is a good way to reduce your traffic cost.

Just like in real life, you gotta start somewhere) As mentioned in the Real Racing 3 article, Freemium is a term coined to be free-to-play which uses actual currency to purchase virtual currency. The virtual currency can then purchase new Ghostbusters and upgrades for your current arsenal. Unlike Real Racing 3, however, there is no option to get free coins or virtual currency by signing up for new offers. There is the option to earn virtual currency, which are known as Slime and Power Cores. (Ohhhh, my childhood heroes that I have not yet earned to play as … Peter Venkman, Ray Stanz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddmore) Like Real Racing 3, you have tracks (or various busts) that earn you the virtual currency. (The “B Squad”. Just like in real life, you gotta start somewhere)
As mentioned in the Real Racing 3 article, Freemium is a term coined to be free-to-play which uses actual currency to purchase virtual currency. The virtual currency can then purchase new Ghostbusters and upgrades for your current arsenal. Unlike Real Racing 3, however, there is no option to get free coins or virtual currency by signing up for new offers. There is the option to earn virtual currency, which are known as Slime and Power Cores.

(Ohhhh, my childhood heroes that I have not yet earned to play as … Peter Venkman, Ray Stanz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddmore)

Like Real Racing 3, you have tracks (or various busts) that earn you the virtual currency. With that in mind, the primary object is to accumulate the virtual currency to access each floor and defeat each challenge to reach the 50th floor of the most haunted building in New York. The talents of Beeline Interactive have really shined and brought mobile gaming to a whole new level. No longer are we looking at the era of just 8-Bit graphics with a full storyline, or left unsatisfied with HD Graphics with no clear objectives, We now have a hybrid of HD Graphics with a Fully-grown storyline. Of course, like Real Racing 3, It’s Free!

My name is Reneir Cruz, and in addition to working at TapIt By Phunware, I have a quick plug in that we would love to run an advertising Campaign for this game. I am a console gamer and now a mobile gamer, and I can see Mobile gaming catching the Console industry…or at least forcing it to take a look over its shoulder.
